Council Web can manage a range of document types including HTML pages, PDF files, MS Word documents and Excel spreadsheets. This is achieved through a content editor, document indexer and approval process served via the web browser.

Menu systems can be configured for Internet, Intranet and Extranet sites. With specialised sections and categories. Access levels can be assigned to each document or document category. These include: system administrators, management, staff, councillors or extranet members and the general public. Based on assignment, content can be made accessible to internal and external users.

Council Web contains document approval interfaces so that users can index content such as PDF files. Managers can then use an electronic authorisation process to allows these documents to be seen at varied access levels.
